The Mall Fashion Show was one of my favorite events in Vegas!
It was my favorite event because I loved my outfit, and felt so glamorous modeling in front of hundreds of people on a REAL runway! Not to mention that an elevator with clear walls brought us from the basement to the runway to surprise everyone waiting to see! It was just an awesome experience.
One morning we had to get up and do our Parade of states shoot at the Neon Sign bone yard. It was a very interesting place. We weren’t able to see many of the the Neon Signs because we were working on the shoot but the ones we did see around us were really neat. Though, my favorite was the Cinderella shoe outside of the Boneyard pointing to the actual museum. It was my favorite because I am obsessed with shoes and Disney, and it was a perfect combination of the two!
Friday night we all got tickets to the Terry Fator show! Terry Fator was a winner for America’s Got Talent the first year it was on air. The show was hilarious and we all had a really good time together.
These are some pictures that were taken from the first day of practice. This is when we started to learn our parade of states dances and started practicing our introductions. We were all still very full of energy, which by Saturday night we had very little if any left! The rehearsals in the ballroom were long but helped a lot, because by the time we got to the stage we really knew the steps to the dances, and all the different patterns we had to walk. So it just came down to practicing everything in heels once we got there, which I needed desperately!
My favorite picture is the one of Jordyn, Miss Pennsylvania, laying in my lap. She wasn’t feeling well the first couple of days so I let her, but it more just is a good visual of what we were like all week, constantly helping each other out. We would give advice on shoes, hair, makeup, walks, outfits, food, anything you can think of. By the end of the week we had gotten so close, and she even told the judges in her interview I was her favorite part of being at the Miss America competition. I was so shocked and honored when she told me that I got all teary eyed, but creating such a close relationship with her made my entire week!
Ok so now starts my Miss America experience!
This first picture is from the very first day in Las Vegas at the arrival ceremony! Here we introduced ourselves and said a fun fact about our state. It was our first appearance all together in Las Vegas. We were all very excited and full of energy, ready for the week to begin!

My Miss Connecticut Send-Off Party!
After my send-off I felt so blessed to have so many supportive and loving, friends and family in my life. So many people came to see my wardrobe and were just so proud of me because I had made it this far. They are the people I thought of the entire time I was on stage in Las Vegas, and they are the reason why I am the person I am today. I could not be more grateful for having such amazing people in my life.
